Honest Wines in the Desert

Perhaps because we so often encounter the opposite, the experience of engaging in life with something or someone honest is as pleasant as it is refreshing. It allows us to disarm and open our senses, to shed caution and meet the present moment with an embrace. To be free of deceit and untruthfulness, to be sincere defines being honest and there’s no better way to describe these wines and the people who make them.  

To be considered honest as we see it, wines must be made from organically farmed grapes. The only wines you’ll see here are made from grapes that are grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fungicides or fertilizers. Why? Well for one, they’re not needed. And what’s more, these synthetics strip from the wines they’re meant to improve the very uniqueness and flavor that compel us to drink them in the first place.   

We don’t always get to choose who or what we engage with in our lives, but we do get to choose the wines we drink. At Sonoran Selections, we support wines made by likeminded people we know personally. Each wine here is made with organically-farmed grapes that are made into wine using methods so time-honored and traditional that they’re considered by some as radically progressive. Call them whatever you want, we’ll just call them honest… and delicious.
